Steven Moeller, a managing director with Franklin Templeton, relocated to Hong Kong from San Mateo, Calif., to take on the role of head of investment solutions, Asia.
The position is new, said a Singapore-based spokeswoman for the firm. Mr. Moeller will be responsible for “developing and managing multiasset, multistrategy investment solutions for institutional and retail clients in the Asia region,” according to a news release.
Mr. Moeller previously was a managing director of strategic advisory services with Franklin Templeton Solutions. His position in San Mateo isn't being filled.
Mr. Moeller's previous role involved crafting solutions for institutional and retail clients in various parts of the world, including Asia. His move to the region stems “from a need for senior expertise and for someone to be physically based in the region to oversee the needs of clients,” the spokeswoman said in an e-mail.
