Brett Horton and Christopher Kohler joined Mercer as senior consultants, said spokesman Charles Salmans.
Both positions are new. Mr. Horton will help enhance Mercer’s investment manager operational risk assessment service, and Mr. Kohler will be responsible for supporting Mercer’s endowments and foundations business.
Mr. Horton will report to Freeman Wood, a principal and director of the Mercer Sentinel Group in Mercer’s investments business, while Mr. Kohler will report to Kimberly Wood, a senior partner and leader of Mercer’s investments business for non-profit clients.
Mr. Horton was a director with Duff & Phelps, while Mr. Kohler was a vice president at EnTrust Capital.
It could not be learned by press time whether they were replaced. Bruce Kahne, EnTrust chief compliance officer, did not return a phone call seeking comment. Duff & Phelps spokeswoman Heather Cole did not know whether Mr. Horton was replaced.
