Remy Kawkabani was named managing director and head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at private equity manager Siguler Guff & Co., said spokeswoman Kathryn Kantarian.
It is a new position, and Mr. Kawkabani is based in London.
Mr. Kawkabani was previously managing director and CEO for the EMEA region at Credit Suisse Asset Management. Ms. Kantarian said he left that position several years ago.
Sofia Rehman, Credit Suisse spokeswoman, confirmed Mr. Kawkabani is a former employee but would not comment further.
