Julie Dean resigned as a portfolio manager at Schroders, said a spokeswoman for the money manager.
Ms. Dean will not be replaced; her responsibilities have been taken on by other managers at the firm, the spokeswoman said.
Matt Hudson manages the £2.2 billion ($3.6 billion) U.K. Opportunities fund, and the £286.8 million U.K. Growth fund is managed by the firm’s business-cycle investment team.
The spokeswoman said the firm is “disappointed by the departure” of Ms. Dean, adding that the firm, which manages £271.5 billion was “quite surprised.” Ms. Dean, who joined Schroders as part of the firm’s acquisition of Cazenove last year, could not be reached for comment by press time.
