Spencer Levy has been appointed to Americas head of research at real estate firm CBRE Global Research, said Nick Axford, global head of research, in a letter to clients.
He retains the title of executive managing director, said Robert McGrath, CBRE spokesman.
The position had been vacant for some time. Mr. Axford had overseen Americas research in the interim.
Mr. Levy was executive managing director in the firm’s capital markets group where he oversaw CBRE Capital Market’s corporate advisory unit, the firm’s investment banking operations; auctions; and CBRE’s Latin America operation, spokesman Robert McGrath said.
Brian Stoffers, chief operating officer and president of CBRE Capital Markets, will take over Mr. Levy’s corporate capital markets responsibilities on an interim basis while firm executives search for a replacement.
Jeff Majewski, senior managing director, will take over Mr. Levy’s auctions duties and Kevin Aussef, senior managing director, is overseeing CBRE’s Latin America operation.
