Simon Brazier and Blake Hutchins were appointed to Investec Asset Management's U.K. equities team, said a spokeswoman for Investec.
Also joining are two analysts and a product specialist. All five executives are coming from money manager Threadneedle Investments.
Mr. Brazier, who starts in November, will run U.K. equity funds and be co-head of Investec's quality investment capability, with Clyde Rossouw. Mr. Brazier is head of U.K. equities at Threadneedle.
Mr. Hutchins will become a fund manager for U.K. equities and will run a U.K. equity income fund to be established by Investec when he starts. He is a portfolio manager at Threadneedle.
Also joining the firm will be Ben Needham and Anna Farmbrough as analysts, and Neil Finlay as a product specialist.
Further details on the appointments were not available by press time. A spokeswoman for Threadneedle did not respond to a request for comment.
