Mike DiCenso joined Mesirow Financial as managing director and head of national sales, said Paul Newmann, the firm's assistant vice president for investment strategies.
The position is new. Mr. DiCenso will be building the firm's sales efforts within the retirement and wealth management industries, Mr. Newmann said.
Mr. DiCenso had led the institutional retirement business at MassMutual Retirement Services in brief stint from November 2013 to February. Prior to that, he was president at Gallagher Fiduciary Advisors. Massachusetts Mutual spokesman Jim Lacey did not return a call as to whether Mr. DiCenso had been replaced.
Mesirow had $84.5 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
