Aruna Hobbs was named senior managing director, vice president and head of institutional investments for retirement services at MassMutual Retirement Services, said David Potter, spokesman, in an e-mail.
Ms. Hobbs replaces Brian Haendiges, who was promoted earlier this year to senior vice president, investment services. His title in his previous role was vice president of investment distribution.
The new title reflects an expansion of Mr. Haendiges’ previous role “as we are putting together a team of seven sales and service reps who are promoting MassMutual’s mutual funds to record-keeping and investment-only clients,” Mr. Potter wrote.
Ms. Hobbs reports to Mr. Haendiges.
Ms. Hobbs was previously managing director and head of stable value at New York Life Investments. New York Life spokeswoman Sarah Lazarus said the company has yet to make a decision regarding her position.
