John Krieg was named global head of institutional distribution at Northern Trust Asset Management, said company spokesman John O'Connell.
The position is new. Mr. Krieg will lead the global institutional sales and consultant relations teams. He will be based in Chicago and report to Jason J. Tyler, global head of client solutions.
Mr. Krieg was a managing director for asset management for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Northern Trust; Mr. O'Connell said the company is seeking a replacement.
