Percival Stanion, Andrew Cole and Shaniel Ramjee were chosen as the first multiasset team at Pictet Asset Management, said a spokeswoman.
The positions are new and based in London. Mr. Stanion will be vice chairman of Pictet Asset and head of multiasset strategies ex-Switzerland. He also will become co-chairman of the Pictet strategy unit.
Mr. Stanion will report to Olivier Ginguene, head of asset allocation and quantitative investments. He previously was head of the multiasset group at Baring Asset Management, where he was replaced by Marino Valensise.
Messrs. Cole and Ramjee were hired as portfolio managers. They both came from Barings as well.
The spokeswoman said the three are expected to join in early November, but there is no set date. The firm plans to launch a diversified growth fund shortly, with more multiasset strategies in the future.
“This hire demonstrates our determination to expand our existing multiasset strategies for clients both in the U.K. and elsewhere,” said Renaud de Planta, managing partner of the Pictet Group and CEO of Pictet Asset Management, in a news release.
