Richard Hoag joined Sawgrass Asset Management with the title of senior institutional sales and client service, said Brian K. Monroe, co-founder, principal and director of sales and marketing at Sawgrass.
The position is new.
Mr. Hoag will use his relationships and contacts to further broaden the firm’s presence, particularly with corporate pension funds, and endowments and foundations, Mr. Monroe said.
Mr. Hoag reports to Mr. Monroe.
Previously, Mr. Hoag was a managing partner with responsibility for investments at Liontrust International North America. Simon Hildrey, a spokesman for parent company Liontrust Asset Management, could not be reached for information on a replacement by press time.
Sawgrass Asset Management has more than $3.3 billion in assets under management.
