Mendocino County Employees' Retirement Association, Ukiah, Calif., is searching for a retirement administrator, said Jim Andersen, interim administrator.
Mr. Andersen, a former administrator for the $442 million pension plan, was appointed interim administrator in May. He replaced Tom Watson, who served as interim administrator from March to May.
Mr. Watson, a former administrator for the $1.7 billion Stanislaus County Employees' Retirement Association, Modesto, Calif. was appointed interim administrator at Mendocino County following the resignation of Richard White at the end of February.
Mr. White resigned as administrator for personal reasons, Mr. Andersen said.
Initially, the search for a permanent administrator was conducted in-house. After all of the candidates were rejected in June, the pension plan decided to hire Alliance Resource Consulting given the firm's significant contacts and experience recruiting successfully, Mr. Andersen said.
A job listing was posted this week on the National Association of State Retirement Administrators' website.
Applications are due by Sept. 18. A hiring decision is anticipated in October, Mr. Andersen said.
