Peter Warnes joined Manulife Asset Management in Hong Kong as head, international, of the firm’s portfolio solutions group.
The position is new. It focuses on meeting the asset allocation needs of clients outside of North America, said a Hong Kong-based spokeswoman.
Mr. Warnes was a managing director and senior portfolio manager on global equity and global multiasset investment portfolios at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in Hong Kong, the spokeswoman said. Daniel Chui, a Hong Kong-based spokesman for J.P. Morgan Asset Management, said Mr. Warnes’ responsibilities have been taken on by other members of the firm’s global multiasset group.
Manulife’s portfolio solutions group manages more than $119 billion, with $5.9 billion of that managed on behalf of clients in Asia, including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and retail clients, a Manulife news release said.
