Iain McNaught and Simon Peters were named senior vice presidents at Pacific Investment Management Co., in London, spokesman Michael Reid said.
The positions were added as part of PIMCO’s buildout of a global growth equities team, said a news release.
Mr. McNaught will focus on global growth strategies in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors, and Mr. Peters will focus on the financial sector, according to the news release.
Previously, Mr. McNaught was a global equity analyst at Sarasin & Partners. Ivo Forde, spokesman for Sarasin & Partners, could not be reached for information on a replacement.
Mr. Peters was head of financial specialist sales at Nomura International. A spokesman for Nomura could not be reached by press time.
Also, Melissa Tuttle was named global head of equity trading at PIMCO. Previously, Ms. Tuttle was an executive vice president at PIMCO, focusing on European equity. She will retain her executive vice president title.
As global head of equity trading, Ms. Tuttle will “manage day-to-day operations and performance oversight of PIMCO’s regional equity desks and staff,” the release said.
Mr. Reid could not provide information on a replacement by press time.
PIMCO has more than $55 billion in equity assets under management.
