Mike Parrett was named a vice president of consulting, effective Aug. 18, at Principal Financial Group.
The position is new, said spokeswoman Jaime Naig in an e-mail.
Mr. Parrett will provide “advanced consulting to employee stock ownership plans, including financial analysis and transaction structuring,” said a Principal news release. Mr. Parrett will be based in Indianapolis.
The news release said Mr. Parrett most recently had been senior vice president and chief financial officer for Herff Jones. A Herff Jones spokeswoman didn’t return a call for comment by press time.
