South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission, Columbia, is searching for a director of private markets, said John Farmer, director of human resources.
It is a new position, Mr. Farmer said. The selected candidate will “be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive investment program within the private market strategies,” according to the job posting on the National Association of State Retirement Administrators' website.
The allocation to private markets, which consists of private equity and private debt strategies is 16%, said Brittany Storey, spokeswoman, in an e-mail.
Also the investment commission is searching for an investment officer of private markets and an investment officer of credit strategies, said Ms. Storey. The positions are new. The job postings are also available on NASRA's website.
The allocation to credit, which consists of high-yield bonds, loans, structured credit and emerging market debt, is 12%, wrote Ms. Storey.
The investment commission manages the assets of the $29.9 billion South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority.
