David Gallagher was named vice president, new business development, at Granahan Investment Management, said Karen Agnew, senior vice president and director of marketing, in an e-mail.
The position is new. Mr. Gallagher is responsible for seeking new institutional business for the firm in eastern and southern U.S., as well as select countries in Europe and Asia. He reports to Ms. Agnew.
Mr. Gallagher was director, U.S. development, at Standard Life Investments. SLI spokesman Montieth Illingworth said the firm was seeking a replacement.
Granahan has $3.5 billion in assets under management.
