Mark P. Bergin was named managing director, business development and client relations, at Nu Paradigm Investment Partners, said spokeswoman Katrin C. Lieberwirth.
It is a new position. Mr. Bergin will be responsible for managing institutional client relationships. He will report to Nu Paradigm's co-founding partners Christopher DeMeo and Russell P. O'Brien.
Mr. Bergin was senior relationship manager and team leader for midmarket institutional accounts at State Street Global Advisors. SSgA spokeswoman Elizabeth Bartlett said the firm has no plans to replace him.
Nu Paradigm Investment Partners, which opened in April, offers investment outsourcing and strategic consulting services.
