Assets under management at Schroders PLC increased 15% to £271.5 billion ($458.8 billion) for the year ended June 30.
Net inflows over the first half of 2014 were £4.8 billion, up 6.7% during the first half of 2013.
Assets under management for institutional business increased 6% to £148 billion for the year, with net institutional inflows of ££700 million for the six months through June 30. Outflows in the second quarter were primarily due to commodities, which the firm said in a news release “reflected a challenging environment for this asset class.” An exact figure was not provided.
Profit before tax was £233.9 million for the first half of the year, up 6% from the first half of 2013.
Schroders said 72% of assets under management outperformed their benchmarks or peer groups for the three years ended June 30.
