Lisa M. Jones was named head of U.S. at Pioneer Investments, said spokesman Geoff Smith.
Beginning Aug. 11, Ms. Jones will serve as president and CEO of Pioneer Investments' U.S. division, Pioneer Investment Management USA Inc., and become a member of Pioneer's global leadership team. She will be based in Boston and report to Sandro Pierri, CEO of Pioneer Investments.
She replaces Daniel K. Kingsbury, who will remain at Pioneer until Sept. 5 to assist with the transition and then leave the company, a news release said. Mr. Smith declined to comment further. Mr. Kingsbury could not be reached.
Ms. Jones was global head of distribution at Morgan Stanley Investment Management. She was replaced last year by Paul Price, who was head of international distribution, a Morgan Stanley spokesman said.
Pioneer's U.S. Division has approximately $72 billion in assets under management.
