Clifford Chiu has been named a senior adviser to Neuberger Berman Asia, said David Bloomfield, the firm's Hong Kong-based spokesman.
The position is new. Mr. Chiu “will work across the Asia-Pacific region to help Neuberger Berman continue to build its Asian client base,” said a company news release.
Mr. Chiu recently retired from KKR & Co. where he served as a partner “overseeing the firm's client business in Asia, including Japan,” according to the release.
According to KKR's website, Rex Chung, a Hong Kong-based managing director, has taken on Mr. Chiu's role as head of the firm's client and partner group for Asia. A KKR spokeswoman declined to provide further comment.
