David Page was appointed senior economist at AXA Investment Managers.
The appointment is an expansion of the money manager’s research and investment strategy team, said a spokeswoman for the firm.
Mr. Page, who joined the firm last week, replaces Mark Allan, who left earlier this year. Further details were not available by press time.
Mr. Page acts as a cross-country economist, covering macroeconomic and thematic research and also focuses on market strategy and asset allocation, particularly for the U.S.
He was previously a senior economist at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.
“(Mr. Page’s) appointment reinforces our commitment to providing the business, and in turn our clients, with in-depth knowledge of economic growth trend and policies,” said Eric Chaney, head of research at AXA Investment Managers and chief economist at AXA Group, in a news release.
