Ramius hired State Street Global Advisors as subadviser to the Ramius Trading Strategies Managed Futures Fund, an open-end mutual fund that offers investors a portfolio of managed futures managers.
This is the first time Ramius has hired a subadviser to help manage the $86 million fund, said Ramius spokeswoman Carissa Felger in an e-mail. The fund is expected to be renamed the State Street/Ramius Managed Futures Strategy Fund.
SSgA will retain the fund’s existing portfolio management team. As the primary adviser to the fund, Ramius will continue to provide back-office administration services, operational due diligence and marketing support.
