National Investment Corp., Almaty, Kazakhstan, is searching for an investment consultant for general, private equity and hedge fund investments, information on its website shows.
The NIC is looking for a consultant to review strategic asset allocation and investment policy and to look at manager selection processes. It also will perform due diligence on potential money managers for hedge fund and private equity portfolios, according to an RFP available on the NIC’s website.
The corporation was established in 2012 to manage part of the foreign exchange reserves of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other assets.
The NIC said the consultant will cover the $80 billion National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan, $30 billion of foreign exchange reserves portfolios, $300 million of hedge fund investments and a further $300 million of private equity assets.
Electronic applications must be received by July 30, and hard copies must be delivered to the NIC offices no later than Aug. 6. Further details could not be learned by press time. Spokesmen for the NIC could not be reached by press time.
