Gavin Ingram and Sandra Bosela were promoted to co-heads of private markets at OPTrust, Toronto.
The positions are new. Mr. Ingram and Ms. Bosela will perform the global investment oversight duties that had been handled by Kevin Warn-Schindel, managing director and head of OPTrust's private markets group, who left in April, said OPTrust spokeswoman Karen Danylak.
Mr. Ingram will oversee the global infrastructure portfolio for OPTrust, which manages the assets of the C$16 billion (US$14.9 billion) Ontario Public Service Employees Union Pension Plan, Toronto. Ms. Bosela will oversee OPTrust's global private equity investments, said Ms. Danylak.
Both remain managing directors; they had previously managed investments in the private markets group. They will report to Alex Macdonald, chief investment officer.
As of Dec. 31, OPTrust had a 15% target allocation to infrastructure and a 14.5% actual allocation, and a target 10% allocation to private equity with a 4.5% actual allocation, according to OPTrust's website.
