Christopher Saik was named chief investment officer of the $1.8 billion Louisiana School Employees’ Retirement System, Baton Rouge, said Charles P. Bujol, executive director.
Mr. Saik, who has been serving as interim CIO since December, was named to the position permanently by the pension fund’s board of trustees on Monday, Mr. Bujol said.
He succeeds George Meyer III, who resigned in December. The board will address Mr. Saik’s previous position as investment officer at a later date, Mr. Saik said.
