Mel Stanton, deputy chief investment officer for the University of California, Oakland, is retiring after 24 years, Dianne Klein, university spokeswoman, said Thursday.
Ms. Klein did not have the date of Mr. Stanton’s departure.
It’s unclear whether Mr. Stanton will be replaced; Ms. Klein said Chief Investment Officer Jagdeep Bachher is reorganizing the investment office.
The investment office oversees more than $67 billion, including an $8 billion university endowment, a $50 billion defined benefit plan and a $9 billion liquidity pool.
