Sally Bridgeland was appointed senior adviser for Avida International's U.K. team, said Bart Heenk, U.K. managing director.
Ms. Bridgeland, who will join the Dutch consultant in October, will help the firm expand its footprint in the U.K. pension fund market, said a news release from Avida. It is a new position.
She previously was CEO at the £19 billion ($32.3 billion) BP Pension Trustees Ltd, London. That role is being filled on an interim basis by David Rix, chief risk officer.
“As it continues to mature, the U.K. institutional investment market will undergo considerable change,” said Ms. Bridgeland in the release. “I've been impressed by the investment governance expertise which Avida can bring to bear.”
The firm advises clients in Europe with a collective £200 billion in assets.
