Geoffrey Bobroff, founder and president of money manager consulting firm Bobroff Consulting Inc., died of a heart attack on July 20. He was 70.
Prior to forming his consulting firm in 1993, he was a senior vice president at Lipper Analytical Services. He also had worked at Integrated Resources and J.&W. Seligman & Co.
He began his professional career as a trial attorney for the Securities and Exchange Commission, where he conducted investigations and enforced actions in the investment management industry.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Comes; three children, Rachel Bobroff, Zachary Bobroff and Lucas Bobroff; sister, Sherry Folb; brother, Seth Bobroff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Comes said no decisions have been made as to what will happen with the firm.
Arrangements are pending. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
