Ohio Public Employees’ Retirement System, Columbus, is searching for a hedge fund consultant, said Michael Pramik, spokesman, in an e-mail.
The retirement system, which includes $76.7 billion in defined benefit assets, has issued an RFP “because of the considerable amount of time since the last one,” Mr. Pramik said.
Cliffwater, the current consultant, is invited to rebid. The firm was hired as the system’s first hedge fund consultant in April 2011 after the decision the previous year to move to direct hedge fund investments from hedge funds of funds.
Proposals are due at 4 p.m. EDT on July 30. Mr. Pramik said the retirement system expects to make a decision in the fourth quarter of 2014.
The RFP is available on OPERS’ website.
