San Mateo County Employees’ Retirement Association, Redwood City, Calif., is searching for a CEO, said Lisa Yapching, personnel services manager for the county.
The search is being conducted because current CEO David Bailey is retiring. Mr. Bailey was appointed CEO of the $3 billion pension fund at the start of 2005. He is planning to retire at the end of 2014 or in 2015, Ms. Yapching said.
Ms. Yapching said the county hopes to have Mr. Bailey’s replacement in place by the end of the year so Mr. Bailey can train him or her.
The job posting is available on the county’s website. The deadline for applications is Aug. 14. Finalist interviews are scheduled for Sept. 30.
Mr. Bailey could not be reached by press time.
