Samuel Farahnak was named director of private equity at Black Diamond Capital Management.
Mr. Farahnak will focus on “identifying and evaluating controlling equity investments and mergers and acquisitions opportunities,” a news release said. Additional information on his role could not be learned by press time. An official at Black Diamond referred questions to the firm’s general counsels. Phone calls seeking more information were not returned by press time.
Mr. Farahnak had been a vice president with Platinum Equity. Dan Whelan, spokesman at Platinum Equity, could not be reached for information on a replacement.
Black Diamond has more than $8 billion in assets under management.
