Jerome Shapiro joined alternative investment credit specialist Black Diamond Capital Management as managing director and structured product portfolio manager.
Mr. Shapiro is based in Black Diamond’s Greenwich, Conn., office and is responsible for structured product investment across the firm’s three investment strategies — control distressed debt/private, hedge fund and collateralized debt obligations/other structured products, a news release said.
Katie Bloom, a Black Diamond spokeswoman, did not return a call seeking more information.
Mr. Shapiro was a senior vice president and asset-backed portfolio manager at credit manager One William Street Capital Management. Mickey Mandelbaum, a company spokesman, said Mr. Shapiro’s duties will be assigned to others on the team.
