Philip Brides was named senior portfolio manager for asset allocation and currency in the U.S. at UBS Global Asset Management, spokesman Tom Climie said.
It is a new position.
Mr. Brides is responsible for the global investment solutions group's growth and income portfolios at UBS. He is based in Chicago and reports to Andreas Koester, head of asset allocation and currency.
Mr. Brides was previously a managing director at BlackRock, where he was responsible for global tactical asset allocation strategies within the firm's multiasset strategies group in London. A BlackRock spokesman said that his responsibilities have been assumed by the GTAA team while the firm seeks a permanent replacement.
