Edmund Donaldson was named managing director of portfolio management at USAA Real Estate, spokeswoman Margot Olcay said.
The position is new.
Mr. Donaldson will “manage a significant portion of the USAA Real Estate Co. portfolio,” Ms. Olcay said. Specifics on his role will be announced later, she said.
Mr. Donaldson will start Aug. 1 in the firm's San Antonio office. He will report to Len O'Donnell, president and CEO.
Previously, Mr. Donaldson was chief investment officer of Hines' U.S. Core Office Fund, Hines REIT and Hines Global REIT, and a senior managing director and member of Hines' capital markets group.
