Deepak Khanna was named managing director and head of U.S. large-cap value equities and J.J. Wilczewski was appointed managing director and co-head of the global client group, Americas, at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, spokeswoman Maria Gonzalez said.
Mr. Khanna’s position is new. Effective July 16, Mr. Khanna will be responsible for managing investment strategies focused on U.S. large-cap value stocks. He will be based in New York and report to Owen Fitzpatrick, a managing director and head of U.S. equity.
Mr. Wilczewski takes over for Joe Sarbinowski, managing director and head of the global client group’s investment specialist team for liquidity management, who has been responsible for institutional coverage in the Americas on an interim basis. Mr. Wilczewski will focus on serving institutional investors, overseeing client coverage and distribution in the Americas. He will work with fellow co-head Bob Kendall, who is responsible for DeAWM’s Americas retail business.
Both Messrs. Wilczewski and Kendall will report to Dario Schiraldi, head of the global client group.
Mr. Khanna was a portfolio manager of large-cap value and multicap value equity strategies at Lord Abbett & Co. A spokesman for the firm said portfolio manager Sean Aurigemma will assume his responsibilities.
Mr. Wilczewski was a partner and head of institutional advisory solutions at Hewitt EnnisKnupp. Company spokeswoman MacKenzie Lucas said that Mr. Wilczewski’s responsibilities will be assumed by John Thompson, partner and head of investment solutions, and Brian Thomas, senior relationship manager.
