The Carlyle Group said its carry fund valuations rose 5% during the second quarter of 2014, according to preliminary performance figures released Monday. Its portfolio is up 11% year to date, and up 20% in the 12 months ended June 30.
By fund type, its growth capital private equity funds rose the most in Q2 – 13% - while its buyout funds were up 5%.
Real estate funds increased 4% during the quarter, while energy funds gained 2%.
The firm’s global market strategies funds – carry funds only (excluding structured credit funds and hedge funds) – was up 12% in the second quarter and 29% over the last 12 months.
