Steve Haswell joined Macquarie Investment Management as head of distribution for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said a spokesman.
The role is an expansion of one previously held by Alistair Morrison, head of European distribution, said the spokesman. Mr. Morrison left in May, according to the Financial Services Authority register of authorized persons. Details of any new position could not be learned by press time.
Mr. Haswell, who joined June 30, is based in Munich.
He was previously at MFS Investment Management, where he held roles including head of global sales and head of continental Europe. A spokesman for MFS did not respond to requests for comment.
Mr. Haswell’s “focus at (Macquarie) will be across all of EMEA, where we have significant momentum, and in markets we can further develop as we have a great opportunity to capitalize on our long-term investment performance and broad product offerings,” said Scott Coleman, head of distribution and marketing at Macquarie Investment Management.
