Texas County & District Retirement System, Austin, committed a total of $75 million at the end of June to a private equity fund and a venture capital fund.
The $23 billion pension fund committed $45 million to Khosla Ventures V, a venture capital fund focused on new energy and technology startup companies, a transaction report on the pension fund's website said.
TCDRS also committed $30 million to Charlesbank Equity Fund VIII, a private equity fund managed by Charlesbank Capital Partners to be invested in U.S. and Canadian companies.
Year-to-date through July 1, the pension fund had committed a total of $668 million to 19 private equity, venture capital, real estate, distressed debt and energy funds, including the two newest funds.
