Paul Myles and Dick Rae were appointed as directors on F&C Investments' institutional client management team, a spokeswoman said.
The positions are new. Mr. Myles, who started last month, works with local government and corporate pension funds. He was previously director, head of U.K. and Ireland institutional business, at Nordea, a news release from F&C said. A spokesman for Nordea did not respond to requests for comment by press time.
Mr. Rae will join the firm Thursday and will focus on developing the money manager's insurance business. He was previously a managing director in HSBC's strategic solutions group, focusing on the insurance sector, the news release said. A HSBC spokesman was not available to comment by press time.
Both report to Mandy Mannix, head of client service and distribution at F&C.
“Over the last year, we have made some significant hires within our client management and distribution team,” Ms. Mannix said in the news release. “We are looking to grow our business on a global scale as part of BMO Global Asset Management, and the distribution platform in place will enable us to cater to the investment needs of our clients and prospects.”
