Old Mutual Asset Management filed a registration statement with the SEC on Monday in preparation for the proposed initial public offering of a minority of the ordinary shares of OMAM held by parent Old Mutual PLC, a spokesman said.
The registration statement will now be reviewed by the Securities and Exchange Commission's staff.
OMAM, the U.S. money management unit of the London-based international financial services group Old Mutual, had about $203 billion of assets under management as of March 31.
