Stafford Capital Partners, an alternative funds-of-funds manager, acquired Macquarie Group's secondary infrastructure, sustainable capital and venture capital funds-of-funds management businesses.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, said Stafford CEO Angus Whiteley.
The three businesses will bring a combined $700 million in assets under management to Stafford, raising its total AUM to $3.3 billion.
The Macquarie funds of funds will be rebranded as Stafford funds, Mr. Whiteley said.
Senior Macquarie staff, including Rick Fratus, managing director and senior vice president; Kurt Faulhaber, senior vice president and head of North American clean technology; and Ingo Marten, head of European clean technology, will join Stafford, Mr. Whiteley said.
A request for comment from Macquarie was referred to Stafford.
