Shahriar Saadullah was hired as managing director for GoldenTree Asset Management's newly opened Singapore office, said a news release.
Mr. Saadullah will oversee the firm's business development efforts for the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Saadullah was head of Asia-Pacific for Citigroup's global markets' international fund distribution group and was based in Singapore, said the news release.
James Griffiths, a Hong Kong-based Citi spokesman, couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
Mr. Saadullah couldn't be reached for comment.
