Apoorva K. Koticha left his position as a managing director in international fixed income at Harvard Management Co., confirmed someone familiar with the matter who asked not to be named.
HMC, which manages Cambridge, Mass.-based Harvard University's $32.7 billion endowment, will not be seeking a replacement.
This follows HMC's president and CEO Jane Mendillo announcement on June 10 that she will resign at the end of the year. Also earlier this month, Mark McKenna, a managing director at HMC who ran an event-driven strategy, left to start an event-driven hedge fund at BlackRock.
Representatives from HMC declined to comment. Efforts to reach Mr. Koticha were unsuccessful.
