Craig Bethune and Diana M. Racanelli were named portfolio managers on a new global natural resources equity team at Manulife Asset Management, said company spokeswoman Beth McGoldrick.
The positions are new. Mr. Bethune and Ms. Racanelli will co-lead the team based in Toronto and report to Christopher Conkey, global chief investment officer.
Mr. Bethune served as the lead portfolio manager on the energy and resource funds at TD Asset Management and co-manager on a C$3 billion (US$2.8 billion) Canadian equity fund. Ms. Racanelli most recently was a vice president and director with TD Asset Management, where she served as lead manager of a precious metals fund and was co-manager of resource and energy funds.
Meghan Thomas, a spokeswoman for TD Asset Management, did not know at press time if they were replaced.
