Scott D. Zaleski was named client portfolio manager at Standish Mellon Asset Management, according to company spokesman Michael Dunn.
The position is new. Mr. Zaleski is responsible for strategy development and business development for global multisector investment strategies, with a focus on Standish's opportunistic fixed-income strategies. He reports to Michael A. Faloon, chief operating officer, and David Leduc, chief investment officer.
Mr. Zaleski was a senior portfolio manager at commercial real estate development firm The Flatley Co. Rich Barrett, a spokesman for Flatley, did not return a phone call seeking comment on a replacement.
Standish Mellon, a Boston-based fixed-income investment boutique subsidiary of BNY Mellon, manages $162.4 billion, of which about $1.9 billion is in opportunistic fixed-income strategies.
