Westfield (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is seeking an active diversified domestic small-cap equity manager to run $6.5 million, according to Raymond Depelteau, chief investment officer of the $180 million pension fund.
The search is being conducted because the pension fund’s contract with incumbent manager Loomis Sayles & Co., expires in 2016; the fund is searching now because most contracts expire between 2016 and 2017 and the fund won’t be able to issue all of its RFPs in that period. Loomis Sayles is expected to rebid, Mr. Depelteau said.
Only commingled investment vehicles will be considered.
The RFP is available from Lynn Rea, retirement administrator, via e-mail at [email protected]. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. EDT July 2. A selection is expected to be made in late August.
