Chicago Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Retirement Fund is searching for an auditor, said Susan Boutin, executive director.
The board of the $1.2 billion pension fund issued the RFP as a due diligence measure.
The selected firm will audit the pension fund’s financial statements for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2014.
Incumbent Legacy Professionals is invited to rebid. Legacy Professionals has done the pension fund’s audits for the past five years.
The contract will be reviewed annually up to five years.
The RFP is available on the retirement fund’s website. Proposals are due by 3 p.m. CDT on July 1. A hiring decision is expected on July 23.
