John Carey was appointed investment director, European infrastructure debt, at IFM Investors, a spokesman said.
The position is new and Mr. Carey will start June 9. He will be responsible for originating, analyzing and executing infrastructure debt investments in the U.K. and Europe. He will report to David Cooper, executive director, debt investments.
Mr. Carey was previously a senior analyst in infrastructure finance at Moody's Investors Service. A spokeswoman confirmed his departure, but further details were not available by press time.
“Over the past two years, we have made great strides building specialist resources to offer infrastructure debt expertise to investors on a global scale,” Mr. Cooper said in a news release.
IFM Investors' debt investment team manages £1.6 billion ($2.7 billion).
