Adams County Retirement Plan, Brighton, Colo., committed $11 million to Harbert U.S. Real Estate Fund V, said Pamela Mathisen, executive director, in an e-mail.
The real estate fund focuses on multifamily and office properties and is managed by Harbert Management.
This is the $225 million pension fund’s first commitment to a Harbert Management fund.
As of March 31, the pension fund had a 10.4% actual allocation to real estate and a 10% target allocation.
